(1) TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF NEED HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS ARISING THEREFROM IN WHATEVER FORM AMONG THE YOUNG, POOR, SICK, CONVALESCENT, DISABLED, HANDICAPPED, INFIRM, UNEMPLOYED, HOMELESS, AGED OR ANY IN NEED OF EDUCATIONAL, FINANCIAL OR OTHER ASSISTANCE; (2) TO EDUCATE AND REHABILITATE THOSE IN NEED OF MORAL ASSISTANCE (INCLUDING THOSE AT RISK OF BECOMING INVOLVED IN THE COMMISSION OF CRIMES RELATING TO DRUG, ALCOHOL OR SOLVENT ABUSE) AND TO ADVANCE MORAL WELFARE BY ASSISTING THOSE WHO BY REASON OF THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES ARE IN NEED OF MORAL GUIDANCE.
