Charitable objects

A2 THE ASSOCIATION IS FORMED FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY. ITS CHARITABLE OBJECTS SHALL BE TO CARRY ON FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY: A2.1 THE BUSINESS OF PROVIDING AND MANAGING HOUSING, INCLUDING SOCIAL HOUSING, AND PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO HELP HOUSE PEOPLE AND ASSOCIATED FACILITIES, AMENITIES AND SERVICES FOR POOR PEOPLE OR FOR THE RELIEF OF AGED, DISABLED (WHETHER PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY) OR CHRONICALLY SICK PEOPLE; A2.2 PROVIDE RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITY AREAS IN WHICH THE ASSOCIATION OWNS OR MANAGES HOUSING STOCK; A2.3 RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONGST THE RESIDENTS OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITY AREAS IN WHICH THE ASSOCIATION OWNS OR MANAGES HOUSING STOCK; A2.4 ADVANCE EDUCATION, TRAINING OR RE-TRAINING PARTICULARLY AMONGST UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE AND PROVIDING UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE WITH WORK EXPERIENCE; A2.5 MAINTAIN, IMPROVE OR PROVIDE PUBLIC AMENITIES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE INTEREST OF REGENERATION IN AREAS OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEPRIVATION IN WHICH THE ASSOCIATION OWNS OR MANAGES HOUSING STOCK; A2.6 PROMOTE PUBLIC SAFETY AND PREVENT CRIME; A2.7 PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND HELP THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY; A2.8 ADVANCE IN LIFE AND HELP YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH: A) THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES PROVIDED IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL INCLUSION WHERE THEY ARE DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITION OF LIFE, B) PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, THEIR CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; AND A2.9 ANY OTHER CHARITABLE OBJECT THAT CAN BE CARRIED OUT FROM TIME TO TIME BY A REGISTERED SOCIETY REGISTERED AS A PROVIDER OF SOCIAL HOUSING WITH THE REGULATOR.
