ST GEORGE'S CRYPT PROVIDES PRACTICAL CARE AND SUPPORT FOR HOMELESS, DESTITUTE AND DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE. IT OPERATES IN THE LEEDS AREA. THE CRYPT RUNS ONE HOSTEL FOR PEOPLE WITH A BACKGROUND OF ADDICTION; IT ALSO PROMOTES A PROGRAMME OF TRAINING AND ENGAGEMENT AND ACTIVELY PROMOTES RESETTLEMENT. THE CRYPT IS A FAITH-BASED CHARITY.THE CHARITY ALSO RUNS THREE SHOPS AND TWO CAFES.

THE RELIEF OF POVERTY HARDSHIP SICKNESS AND DISTRESS AMONG NEEDY AND DESTITUTE PERSONS ANYWHERE AND IN PARTICULAR IN THE CITY OF LEEDS 3.1.3. TO MAINTAIN THE CRYPT OF ST GEORGE'S CHURCH, LEEDS AS A REST ROOM AND SHELTER FOR THE PERSONS REFERRED TO IN ARTICLE 3.1.1 AND 3.1.2 AND TO PURCHASE ADAPT ALTER AND IMPROVE SUCH OTHER PREMISES FOR THE SAME PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL THINK FIT.
