Aims & activities

Docklands Sinfonia: 1. Holds weekly rehearsals to prepare repertoire for concerts. 2. Performs at least three concerts each year within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. 3. Seeks opportunities for its members to perform in venues across Greater London and the South East of England where possible. 4. Works with young people in the East of London to introduce them to classical music.

THE OBJECTS OF THE SOCIETY SHALL BE: 1. TO ADVANCE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN, AND APPRECIATION OF, THE ART AND SCIENCE OF ORCHESTRAL MUSIC IN ALL ITS ASPECTS AND BY ANY MEANS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT, INCLUDING THROUGH THE PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC CONCERTS AND RECITALS. 2. TO FURTHER SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSE OR PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION SHALL THINK FIT BUT IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE MAKING OF GRANTS AND DONATIONS.
