Aims & activities

A member-led charity operating in Southampton providing support, mentoring and training opportunities to people with mental health issues. Comprising of a drop-in,a range of mid-week groups for over 18s and a youth work for 16-24 year olds with a weekly group and monthly club on Saturdays. The charity also offers extra-mural activities, sports, well being, and runs suicide prevention workshops.

THE OBJECTS OF THE (CIO) (HEREAFTER REFERRED TO AS THE ‘CHARITY’)(‘THE OBJECTS’) ARE TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE GOOD HEALTH OF PEOPLE DIAGNOSED WITH MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS AND OTHERS EXPERIENCING PSYCHOLOGICAL AND EMOTIONAL DISTRESS LIVING IN THE COMMUNITY OF SOUTHAMPTON THROUGH MENTORING, TRAINING AND SUPPORT IN ORDER TO EMPOWER AND ASSIST THEM ON THEIR RECOVERY JOURNEY AND AID THEM INTO INDEPENDENT LIVING SO THEY BECOME ACTIVE, WELL INFORMED, PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].
