Aims & activities

Bushmead Communiy Hub runs the comminuty centre in Bushmead, Luton. After the local council decided it could no longer afford it. We hire out rooms and a hall, which are used by a diverse range of community groups. We hire facilities for social bookings. We work with local interest groups to support and encourage cohesion in the communty. We run a youth club and Over 50's Bowls Club.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF BARNFIELD WARD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF AGE, SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION, HEALTH AND WELLBEING, AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS.
