Aims & activities

Jigsaw is about friends good times and going places. It aims to improve community inclusion and social opportunities for people with a learning disability living in Sandwell and Dudley who have limited opportunities and do not get support from other services. It organises a range of outings, one-off events and regular activities such as a monthly curry club and prize bingo sessions

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE BLACK COUNTRY AND BIRMINGHAM BY PROVIDING SOCIAL AND LEISURE OPPORTUNITIES WHICH PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF ONE OF MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS: ILL HEALTH (PHYSICAL OR MENTAL); DISABILITY AND POOR EDUCATIONAL OR SKILLS ATTAINMENT.
