The Thalidomide Society works with thalidomide and similarly impaired people, their families and supporters. The Society provides a social network for thalidomide and similarly impaired people and strives to keep the story of thalidomide alive by working with media and medical professionals and students and all other people interested in the history of thalidomide.

Charitable objects

1) THE SOCIETY IS ESTABLISHED FOR CHARITABLE OBJECTS AND PURPOSES ONLY AND THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS SHALL HAVE EFFECT ACCORDINGLY; 2) IN PARTICULAR THE OBJECTS FOR WHICH THE SOCIETY IS ESTABLISH ARE TO PROVIDE AN ORGANISATION FOR THE RELIEF OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM CONGENITAL DISABILITIES ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE EFFECTS OF THE DRUG COMMONLY KNOWN AS "THALIDOMIDE" AND FOR OTHER PERSONS SUFFERING FROM SIMILAR DISABILITIES, WITH A VIEW TO OBTAINING MEDICAL, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER AID AND ADVICE TO ENABLE SUCH PERSONS AND THEIR PARENTS TO OVERCOME THEIR SPECIAL DIFFICULTIES AND TO LIVE AS NORMAL A LIFE AS POSSIBLE.
